Produced waters are a mixture of formation water and water injected in reservoir pressure maintenance system separated from the well production in the process of their conditioning, and water which is injected in reservoir pressure maintenance system.
Three common challenges often occur during treatment of produced water:

The oil-contaminated wastewaters are treated with activator and Biomicrogels® BMG-C2 flocculator. The water treated with agents is then supplied through static mixer for better mixing and distribution of the flocculator through the wastewater volume. After that, the wastewater is supplied to flotation plant where pollutants are removed as flotation froth owing to physical and chemical treatment method.
The oil-contaminated wastewaters are mixed with activator and agent in static mixer and supplied to the drain sump thereafter.
After settlement of the source emulsion the treated water is supplied to separate tank, and remaining settlement is supplied to water abstraction.
Owing to these agents, the concentration of petroleum products is reduced to 0.05-1 mg/l, the costs of measuring the agents are decreased by means of improvement of agents’ proportions and increasing the agent response rate. The volume of IV hazard category sediment handed over to dumping or disposal is also decreased.
They catch any mineral and vegetable oils, animal fats, and oil and petroleum products in water effectively, based on sweep- coagulation process.
After separation of oil-water mixture both treated water and removed petroleum products can be returned to the process cycle and re-used. Biomicrogel® BMG-P2 flocculants are well compatible with almost all flocculants based on inorganic salts of polyvalent metals cleaning water from suspended particles.
